Marketing: What Works Today

The most important aspect of marketing today is a digital presence.


With digital marketing, you are provided unparalleled tracked analytics and can see results 24/7, so you can be sure you’re getting the results you paid for. Something that traditional marketing cannot provide you.


Marketing is one of those things you’re going to want to splurge on. Think of it as an investment. You get what you pay for, especially in marketing which is why it is vital to research your marketing company beforehand to ensure your money is being invested wisely. Choosing the right marketing team and plan is essential to seeing good or even amazing results. Cheap marketing will result in cheap results. With a good marketing team by your side, you’re guaranteed to start making back the money you originally invested in marketing for your business.


It’s important to remember why you’re investing in marketing in the first place-- to branch out, reach new potential customers and overall increase your business, platform-- both digitally and physically. Not to stress about making ends meet, and getting frustrated with marketing that didn’t pay off or benefit you and your business. In this day of age, physical billboards don’t seem to be as effective anymore. With the exception of large cities or highly populated areas, billboards are not as visually impacting as they used to be. Especially if you live in rural areas similar to North Perth, most locals or people who happen to ‘pass through’ the area, are already familiar with your services, meaning you’re not likely to attract new customers.


This is especially true if you’re selling higher priced ‘luxury items’ or services that people don’t buy every day, or research and invest wisely before purchasing--- such as a car or farming equipment. With billboard advertisements, it’s a hit or miss. Usually (depending on how many billboards you rent or purchase,) have to settle on one design, which in result stays there for months on end, unchanged, not creating much traction or little to no engagement.



Depending on where your billboard is located is a whole other story. During the winter season, roads get closed, accidents happen, and drivers are more focused on the road, not your billboard, unfortunately. Renting a billboard on busier roads and highways can be quite costly as well, and are not guaranteed to create results, with no statistics or numbers to back up or even show the change or increase of customers.


Times change, meaning everything around you will eventually need to change to evolve or grow. Billboards may have worked years ago, but today is all about the digital age. Almost everyone is on social media in your community, or at least know someone who is! This is an amazing advantage when advertising on social media, as you can reach out and advertise to people in your community/surrounding area who you didn’t even know existed!
